Round #1, Hood River is in the Books
Hood River, OR – May 29, 2013 – The Oregon Enduro Series closes the books on the opening round of the series in Hood River, OR. . Participants and spectators alike were welcomed by title sponsors Shimano and Santa Cruz Bicycles at the Industry Expo, while Ninkasi served micro brew and Chris King Precision Components dished out some fine fare. This year’s field of 325 participants was greeted by heavy rain for practice on Friday followed by breaks of energizing sunlight throughout the weekend. The seven individual stages over two days laid the ground work for was to be an epic battle. Athletes from around the globe came to test their skills on the legendary trails of Post Canyon. Yeti Factory Race Team’s Rosara Joseph took the opening round win in the Pro Woman’s field while the Giant Factory Off Road Team captured three spots on the podium with Josh Carlson leading the way in the Pro Men’s field while his team mates Adam Craig and Kelli Emmet, last year’s woman’s overall winner both scored solid 2nd place finishes.
