Update June 3rd, 2013 from Mt. Hood Cycling Classic.

It is with sadness I must announce that we will be canceling the 2013 Women’s Pro 1-2 Race at this year’s Mt. Hood Cycling Classic. With only two weeks left to register and having only received one registration as well as no commitment from teams it is clear that this year’s women’s race will not draw enough riders to be able to afford to run the event. My sincere apologies to those whom this affects.

Update #2 June 3rd, 2013

Wow excited to see this level of passion still exists by the ladies!!! Ok if you think we are jumping the gun prematurely and there are way more than the 1 registered rider who are planning to do this race then we will open it back up until Friday. By Friday we need a minimum of 25 women signed up in order for us to be able to afford to run this category. We will post daily where we are at for registrations so you can track and rally the troops. The downside is if we cancel you are that much closer to the event that you have to make travel plan changes etc. In the past we have consistently had between 15-25 women registered by now so to only have one shows a scary trend. So lets go ladies rally your fellow riders and lets hit 25 registered riders by Friday. If we do not reach this number we will give you 100% refunds including the online service charge back.

Pro 1-2 Women’s registration update. Ladies we are now up to 5 registered riders and still need 20 to go. If we can continue an average of 5 registrations per day we will meet our goal. Lets hope today will see more sign up. Lets get this race on!

Ladies we are up to 13 registered for the Pro 1-2 women’s race. Come on over halfway there we can do this. Hood River wants to see you ladies light it up on a beautiful summer evening at the downtown crit. Lets go!!!

I am super stoked to announce we are up to 27 women for this year’s Pro 1-2 race so we have a race. Great job ladies it is great to know you still love us! I am looking forward to see you charge through the streets of Hood River one last time!!!
