We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Metro in submitting a 2014 Bell Built Grant application for the construction of the Blue Lake Bike Park.
Situated on 2 acres of land adjacent to Marine Drive, the proposed design includes dirt jump lines, two pump tracks and a skills area with natural and built features. Design inspiration comes from the Castle Rock, WA bike park and the Valmont pump track in Boulder, CO.
The Blue Lake Bike Park project would be constructed and maintained through NWTA’s innovative Trail Development Partnership Program (TDPP). The TDPP provides land managers with the tools, volunteers and expertise to build and maintain high quality off-road recreational facilities.
Regional finalists will be announced later this week– we’ll keep you posted if our project moves to the next round.
