Please join the Northwest Trail Alliance (NWTA), the Bureau of Land management (BLM) and the International Mountain Bicycle Association for a Sandy Ridge Trail System (SRTS) trail maintenance and build day, Saturday, April 26th, 2014.

Trail mainenance focus: Volunteers will form into small groups and address any trail issues that have shown themselves after the winter at SRTS. All trails will be tuned up to handle the spring rains and the sustained rider counts that have only increased over the last few years.

If you ride these wonderful trails, please come out and give back a few hours to keep them in great shape!

Expectations? A few hours of trail work from 10am-2pm. We’ll get you and your bike up to the work area and then you can ride afterwards. Never been to a work party? No problem, come and we’ll provide instruction. Please use the sign-up form to help us prepare for the number of attendees coming.

Here’s a link to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Sandy Ridge Trail System map that describes the planned and completed Sandy Ridge trails. The map now includes the Follow the Leader and Flow Motion trails. For more information about these trails see the BLM Website.

Meeting Spot: Sandy Ridge Trail System parking lot (Google map)

Meeting Time: 10:00 AM

What to Bring: Boots, gloves, water/food, weather appropriate clothing and bike for riding afterward.

*If you have your own shovel/trail tools that you want to bring, please feel free to bring them, rakes included. Rakes will be helpful this round to clear leaves and other materials that have accumlated over the winter.

Sleepy Hollow Drive and go down to the second street which is E. Barlow Trail Road. Turn right on E. Barlow Trail Rd. Continue across the bridge, and down for about a 1/2 mile, past the first parking area/restroom on the left, until you see the Sandy Ridge Trail System parking lot on your left (BLM sign, paved road).
