May 11th. – Worldwide!
All information from ORBike.
“Let me tell you what I think of bicycling. I think it has done more to emancipate women than anything else in the world. It gives women a feeling of freedom and self-reliance. I stand and rejoice every time I see a woman ride by on a wheel…the picture of free, untrammeled womanhood.”
– Susan B. Anthony
Bicycles have long been an empowering tool for women, first allowing them the freedom to go further and then to wear pants, ride fast, compete, conquer amazing feats, stay fit, stay sane and get where they want to go, when they want to go there.
On May 11, people in 20 countries around the world will pedal in CycloFemme rides to celebrate how bikes empower women and to encourage more women to ride. CycloFemme rides are open to all people (regardless of gender) who support that mission. So grab your friends, moms, girlfriends, cousins, daughters, brothers and neighbors for a powerful ride.
In Oregon, rides are planned for Tualatin, Eugene, Springfield and two rides are planned for Portland.
