After taking a mid-series break, we’re back for 4 more weeks of Short Track goodness… and this Monday we’re going big, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the series, Brazil style!

Local samba drum band Bloco Alegria will come out to entertain the start of each race with live music, Nossa Familia Coffee will be serving free iced and pour-over coffees, and our title sponsor Hopworks Urban Brewery will sample a variety of delicious organic ales to anyone over 21.

Newbie Short Track racers (i.e. anyone who never raced the series before) and “short track oldbies” (anyone who raced the first edition of the Short Track Series back in 2005) will enjoy a $10 discount off the day-of-race race fee (i.e. $15 for adults, $5 for juniors). And for those who came late to the party this year, we’ll be selling “rest-of-series passes” for just $70 ($30 for juniors)!

Our food station will be serving our ever-popular FREE Dave’s Killer Bread PB&J sandwiches, Larabars and other healthy goodies, and to top it all off we will raffle off a Shimano MTB wheelset – generously donated by the Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park – among everyone who comes out and race this Monday.

And as usual, there will be FREE short track clinics for women and novice men (starting at 4:30pm) and FREE kids races (3 categories – starting at 5:30pm).
