Gigantic Bicycle Festival

August 22nd – 24th, 2014
Snoqualmie, Washington

The Gigantic Bicycle Festival packs so much of what we love into one weekend: Bike rides, bands, bike builders, films, beer, performances, camping and wildly creative fun. The festival takes place in Snoqualmie, Washington, but the ride starts in Seattle for a 100 or 77 mile cruise to the party (with shuttle service back).

It’s only $20 to just go to the festival, but we think the ride is an integral part of fully immersing yourself in this cool event. The course is a lovely meander to Snoqualmie that takes you through the wide open landscape east of Seattle and the quaint town of Carnation, then on through the Snoqualmie River Valley. You’ll experience some of the best relaxing riding possible on this ride.

It’s a rather flat cruise if you choose the 77 mile route or opt for the full hundo ride for a challenging hilly course. The two courses share many of the same roads – meaning you’ll be in a sea of giddy bikers snaking their way toward the weekend festivities.

This is going to be such an exciting event, and it comes to us courtesy of a creative arts organization, the Levee Breaking, who loves to put on creative endeavors. If you’ve ridden a ton on your own and you’ve participated in many of the Oregon-area supported rides, now it’s time to expand your biking repertoire and head north and take part in this intriguing inaugural event.

And the music? PDX faves Menomena and many others stock the bill; you won’t be disappointed.

ORBIKE DISOCUNT! Choose the team ORbike and enter code “orbike” and the late registration fee will be waived. This offer is good before July 15.

Riders may leave between 6:30 and 7:30am // Magnuson Park in Seattle.
