Eichler Park Photos: Advanced Jump Line

It’s looking real mint and the jumps are working progressively as planned. For your viewing pleasure.

Note: Lots of parents are encouraging their children to ‘run and climb’ over the jumps. If we can encourage the exact opposite of that using our social media outlets I would be eternally grateful – maintaining the park won’t be so disheartening. Looking forward to improving this area so it can be a real ‘dream-family’ destination.

A little information about Eichler Park.

The Beaverton area’s first BMX and dirt jump course opened in September 2011 at Eichler Park (13710 SW Farmington Rd.).
The Northwest Trail Alliance designed and built the course as part of a partnership with the Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District, which owns and operates Eichler Park.
The two organizations wanted a better course that could be used by novices as well as highly skilled bikers.
The course – the only one of its kind in THPRD’s 50-square-mile district – incorporates three dirt jump lines for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders, along with a small bicycle pump track. It is a complete remodel of the Park District’s original BMX course.
“It’s a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to develop their bike handling skills in a safe and controlled environment,” said Raul Atencio of NWTA at the park’s Grand Opening ceremony.
As part of the agreement, the NWTA will maintain the course. THPRD will continue to provide security through its Park Patrol unit and maintain the rest of Eichler Park, a 2.63 acre park that also features play equipment, a basketball court, a community garden, and ADA-accessible walking path.
