Portland Parks and Rec just released their River View trail plan, and *surprise* bikes aren’t allowed. Here’s three things you can do in the next seven days to help MTB in Portland:
1. Attend the Free Forest Park Ride on Monday at 6pm. 180 people signed up already! https://www.facebook.com/events/801882753237292/
2. Be at the River View Public Advisory Committee meeting this Wednesday at 5:30 pm. This is a public meeting, but it’s in a small space and PP&R wants the general pubic to show up to the open house in a few weeks instead. So please bum out PP&R and show up to the PAC meeting they don’t want you at, dressed professionally and acting respectfully. At the Watershed Community Room, 6388 SW Capitol Highway.
3. Write a good old-fashioned letter to City Hall. NWTA is running a letter-writing campaign. Never under estimate the impact of real, physical letters: http://nw-trail.org/?q=node/7892
