The Elkhorn Crest Trail is awesome! It’s also really dangerous and definitely has earned its expert rating. It’s located outside of Baker City or LaGrande, take your pick. It isn’t close to any major metropolitan area or even an airport. This is a remote adventure that’s worth your while if you’ve got the resources to execute it.
