Hello Trail Lovers,
Featuring this week The Equestrian/Hiker/Runner Trail:
This trail has been part of Hood River County’s master plan for 13 years. Work started last fall on the entries from the Family Man Staging area and York Hill. The trail effectively meets in the middle to meander over logs and under vine maple as it continues up to the Binn’s Hill Staging Area.
There’s lots of excitement for this trail as a safe place for horses, hikers, and runners. Please be respectful and DON T RIDE YOUR BIKE HERE. If you have any questions or are interested in helping create this trail please go to: Post Canyon Equestrian/Runner/Hiker Trail Facebook page or email coreymhoffman@gmail.com.
This week also brings some easy opportunities to jump in and help:
Drink beer, support HRATS! Grab a special pint from April 20th to May 20th at Double Mountain, Everybody’s, Ferment, Freebridge, Hood River Brewing, pFriem, Spinning Wheels, and Working Hands. Each brewery will donate $1 for every pint sold of their featured beer. In addition, Full Sail will donate a portion of the proceeds from beer and food sales to HRATS every Tuesday in May. So, what are you waiting for? Go out, drink a beer, and support the trails!
Visit Hood River has offered a $10,000 matching grant to support trail building at Post Canyon. We need your help to raise $10,000 to meet this exciting funding opportunity for local trails.
This spring, HRATS, in partnership with Hood River County and with the support of our community, built an incredible amount of new trails. If you weren’t able to join us for the annual party or still want to donate, please consider supporting HRATS today with a tax-deductible donation: HRATS Donations Button.
Happy Trails,
HRATS
