Hello Trail Lovers,
We still need a few Volunteers this weekend:
Here’s a shout-out from our friends from The Cascadia Dirt Cup Enduro Race:
Calling all Volunteers! The Cascadia Dirt Cup is back in town May 18-19 and is stoked to start its eleventh season on our favorite Post Canyon trails. If you can’t join us for the race, consider volunteering. These races only run as well as they do through support from folks like you and your repeat willingness to join our 50-person volunteer squad. Timing, sweeping, course marshaling, and more, we have a variety of options and positions that need filling. Schwalbe Tires supports our amazing volunteers this year by providing a “Buy one, get one” code for all our CDC volunteers. Buy one new Schwalbe Tire, get one free. What else happens when you volunteer? Well, your efforts fuel our ability to give our $8,000 check to HRATS at the end of the race—just one part of the $45,000 we put back into the trails every season.
Contact: Volunteer signup.
Heads-up: The Family Man parking area will be full this weekend, please avoid if you’re not racing, thank you.
It’s still, May and there’s plenty of beer left to support HRATS:
Grab a special pint from April 20th to May 20th at Double Mountain, Everybody’s, Ferment, Freebridge, Hood River Brewing, pFriem, Spinning Wheels, and Working Hands. Each brewery will donate $1 for every pint sold of their featured beer.
In addition, Full Sail will donate a portion of the proceeds from beer and food sales to HRATS every Tuesday in May.
Kickstand is running THREE fundraisers this month. All month long, they will donate $1 from every slushy cocktail sold (Margarita and Vodka Watermelon) and doing register round-ups to give anyone the option of throwing HRATS a couple bucks. Then, during The Cascadia Dirt Cup (Friday 5/17 – Sunday 5/19) they will donate $3 from each pint of pFriem IPA sold.
Plenty of options to come out and support HRATS. So, what are you waiting for? Go out, drink a beer, and support the trails!
Visit Hood River has offered a $10,000 matching grant to support trail building at Post Canyon. We need your help to raise $10,000 to meet this exciting funding opportunity for local trails.
This spring, HRATS, in partnership with Hood River County and with the support of our community, built an incredible number of new trails. We’ve got some more work on the schedule that needs funds to complete. Please consider supporting HRATS today with a tax-deductible donation: HRATS Donations Button.
Happy Trails,
HRATS
