Hello Everyone,
Good News. Here is the latest from HRC on the Whiskey Creek Fire and trail closures in Post Canyon.
The Whisky Creek Fire suppression efforts have seen progress allowing HRC to begin a phased reopening of trails & roads. Effective 10:00 a.m.Wednesday, September 4th, 2024 the following trails will be reopened:
- Upper Eldorado
- Upper Trail-140 (below Eldorado junction)
- Three Blind Mice
- 2 Chair
In coordination with multiple government agencies, HRC and fire teams will be working with heavy equipment on contingency fire lines throughout the closure area. For the safety of all, do not approach machinery or enter closures. HRC Sheriff Office is on patrol and enforcing this closure. ODF Regulated Use Closure is still in effect prohibiting motorized trail use. Please help spread the message and be fire smart.
