Hello Trail Lovers,
Desperately seeking a new/used HRATS Trailer:
The HRATS tool trailer has sadly died a rusty death with many years of service under its wheels. HRATS needs to replace the 6x12ft trailer and would love it if anyone knows of a tool trailer that is available for a good deal or as a donation. Please reply to this email if you have leads for us.
Phelps Creek Non-wheeled Work Party:
Saturday, May 17. We’ll meet at Family Man at 9:00 and shuttle out the 1100 road to the work site. Will Ennis and Corey Hoffman will be running the work party. The Phelps Creek Trail will be an essential addition to the trail network, giving non-wheeled users a nice break from all the wheeled traffic in Post Canyon. Please spread the word; our community needs to get behind this trail. Runners, hikers, dog walkers, and equestrians will love it.
Cake Walk in Post Canyon:
Cake Walk has gotten a facelift! If you’ve visited Family Man recently, you know a lot is happening and much to explore. Cake Walk is the trail farthest east of the Family Man zone and is now sprinkled with delightful features, from rollable drops to wooden rollers and skinnies! There are challenges for all levels of riders, from kids on scooter bikes to adults ready to send it! Thanks to Douglass Johnson and Gary Paasch for building the new features with funds and materials from HRATs and Hood River County.
Happy Trails,
HRATS
