In a world obsessed with speed, clarity, and constant connection, Drew Boxold and Tanner Stephens hit pause. With nothing but their SCOTT bikes, analog film cameras, and a few days’ worth of supplies, they disappeared into the Washington backcountry to chase something real: freedom, stillness, and the kind of clarity only the mountains can offer.
Armed with a 1971 Bolex camera, this film was shot entirely on 16mm film. This project strips film-making down to its pure essence and highlights the beauty of riding in nature. No drones. No 4K. No playback. Just the rhythm of riding, the buzz of bees, and the challenge of creating something meaningful, slowly, intentionally, frame by frame, and far from the noise.
Canyon Ridge is about getting off the grid, stripping it all back, and remembering why we ride in the first place.
