Exciting news! The iconic Sisters Stampede mountain bike race—established in 2010—will host the 2026 OBRA MTB XC Championships on Sunday, May 24, in Sisters, Oregon.
The hard-working crew at Mudslinger Events is providing 28 championship races at the Stampede—with 22 on the long course and 6 on the short course—to OBRA racers of all ages and abilities, and will include non-binary categories. In addition to glory, each champion will receive a coveted Sisters Stampede belt buckle along with a custom OBRA championship jersey from Castelli.
If you’ve raced the Stampede, you know why this super-fun event sells out before race day every year. With only 100 spots left for 2026, if you want a shot at an OBRA MTB XC Championship, you need to register now.
You’ll also need a 2026 OBRA annual membership to qualify for championship medals and jerseys. Adult annual memberships are only $50 for unlimited racing in 2026 across all disciplines. Purchase your annual membership here.
There’s so much to look forward to over Stampede weekend, including the Saturday night Blazin Saddles Block Party, championship racing on gorgeous single track with Cascade Mountain views, and of course, post-racing awards, food trucks and fun! More info coming soon!
