Trail building volunteers needed at Gateway Green this week

The time has come… finally!

Gateway Green is honest to goodness happening. We broke ground last Monday for singletrack and now Friends of Gateway Green, Portland Parks and Rec., NWTA and Sentieros are calling for volunteers to help shape Gateway Green into a magnificent destination bike park. Hand tools will be provided but please make sure to bring heavy-duty gloves and thick-soled boots as this is an urban environment with a colorful past that we have been uncovering. Come be a part of this exciting time in the creation of Portland’s first outdoor bike park.

Parking
Gateway Green is a landlocked parcel so we ask that all volunteers bike or walk in to the property. The best access is from the I-205 multi-use path from Gateway Transit Center at the south. We will meet at the newly constructed Staging Area that lies in the middle of the park.
