Weekend ribbon cutting – Teanaway Trail System

Last Saturday, the Teanaway Trail System had its grand opening.

Twelve years of land acquisition, planning, coalition work, and trail building — all of it came together at the West Fork Teanaway Trailhead in the Kittitas Valley. Evergreen’s Kittitas Chapter built the Upper BST, the Lower BST climbing trail, and is currently mid-build on Windy Ridge. Phase 2 is already underway. The vision is 55 miles of multi-use trail in the Teanaway Community Forest.

You can go ride it right now.

This is what Evergreen does. Not just in the Kittitas — across 10 chapters statewide. Tiger Mountain, Duthie Hill, Beacon Hill, Yacult Burn. The access agreements, the work parties, the years of showing up before anyone cuts a ribbon.

It’s funded by riders who decided the trails were worth protecting.

Membership starts at $50 a year

The trails are out there. So is the work that keeps them open.
