Stepping outside your comfort zone – that’s where good stories happen! When Celeste was asked if she’d like to compete in the BC Bike Race, she didn’t hesitate and took on the challenge. Having never raced XC before, she knew this would be something special. Not exactly an XC rider by nature, she wasn’t in her element. Sometimes that’s exactly where you want to be.

The 2026 BC Bike Race marked the event’s 20th anniversary and its final edition as a seven-day stage race. More than 800 riders from 35 countries lined up on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, starting in Cumberland and finishing in North Cowichan after days of legendary West Coast singletrack.
