In this episode, The Klunkpackers head to the Columbia River Gorge for a bikepacking overnighter along the Klickitat Trail. This 45-mile loop starts just east of Hood River, in the town of Lyle, Washington, and follows the Klickitat River and Swale Creek up into the hills above the mighty Columbia River. The weather was perfect, the views were gorgeous, and the only obstacle was a late night at The Hive…

About the series: We’re a group of friends that like to go bikepacking on our State Bicycle Co. Klunkers. Every episode features a different adventure, and every adventure is an approachable, one to three night outing. We go over things like routes, gear choices, and camp set-ups, but the primary goal is to find pretty places, with fun people, on one-speed klunkers that are a blast to ride. And who cares if we have to push our bikes up a few hills!
