The North Shore isn’t just one of mountain biking’s most iconic places. It’s shaped by the people who ride it, build it and keep its culture alive.
To find out what still makes it so special, we spent a day with freeride legend Wade Simmons on his home turf – starting in his garage, heading deep into the loamy forests above Vancouver and meeting some of the people who have shaped riding on the Shore for decades.

Between wooden features, loamy trails, cold beers and plenty of stories, we discovered that the North Shore is about far more than just riding bikes.
