Hood River Area Trail Stewards: HRCF Notice // Trail Closures Tomorrow 10/6/26

Hello Trail Lovers,

We wanted to pass along this update from Hood River County Forestry regarding upcoming trail closures for salvage logging operations. These closures are expected to be temporary, but please pay close attention to the dates and locations below and respect all on-the-ground closures.

We know nobody likes to see trails closed, but these operations are an important part of maintaining the health of our forest. Please give the crews plenty of space to work safely, and help us get these trails reopened as quickly as possible by staying out of the closure areas.

Trail Closures

The HRC Tree Farm & trails are a dynamic system, and we need to share operational updates that will support our forest’s health. Several trails will be closed for salvage logging operations starting at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, October 6th, 2026.   The estimated closure windows are listed below and may be extended as needed. Impact to the trails is anticipated to be limited, and Hood River County Forestry will reopen trails as soon as possible. To help expedite operations, please adhere to all on-the-ground closures. The status of the affected trails can be viewed on the Hood River County Digital Trail Map here:  Trail Map  and includes:
