A Day at the Coast Gravity Park with Gracey Hemstreet | Bosch eBike Systems

Hemstreet was eight years old when the first trails at Coast Gravity Park were built. Her dad was spending a lot of time driving her older brother to Whistler Bike Park, a long haul from the Sunshine Coast. So he rounded up a crew of local diggers you might have heard of, the Coastal Crew, and started building something closer to home. That was 2013. The same year Gracey started riding.

Fast forward to today: Coast Gravity Park has become a bucket-list spot for mountain bikers, known for its deep coastal loam and legendary jump lines like Flight Deck. It’s also where Gracey developed the speed and style she’s become known for. Few riders make big jumps look quite as effortless as she does, and it’s not hard to see where that comes from.

Today, Gracey is a World Cup winner and two-time Red Bull Hardline champion. But home is still home. “Probably my favorite place in the world. Always coming back home is the best.” When she’s back on the Coast, her eMTB helps her make the most of every session on the trails she grew up riding. Pedal up, drop in, repeat. More laps, more riding, more time doing what she loves. And it doesn’t stop when she leaves home.

The Norco Race Division truck carries a few eBikes, and when the World Cup pits get loud, Gracey heads up the mountain, often on her own, just to ride. “It’s super nice to just escape on the eBike up the mountain when you’re in that busy scene.”
